In the ever-flowing river of existence, time reigns supreme, an omnipotent force shaping our lives with its steady cadence. Analog photography, with its timeless charm, serves as a poignant reflection of this eternal dance with time.
With each click of the shutter, we capture not just moments, but fragments of eternity, freezing the ceaseless march of time onto strips of silver-coated film. In the delicate embrace of celluloid, time finds a sanctuary, preserved in a silent symphony of light and shadow.
Analog film, like time itself, is a paradox – fleeting yet enduring, precious yet often taken for granted. As we navigate the currents of life, our cameras become vessels, navigating the depths of history and memory.
The sound of the shutter, a whisper in the symphony of time, marks not just an exposure, but a communion with the essence of existence. Each frame, a testament to the fleeting nature of our existence, yet imbued with a timeless quality that transcends the limitations of the present moment.
To acquire a piece of this temporal tapestry is to embark on a journey through the corridors of time itself. Within each photograph lies a hidden message, a whisper from the past, inviting the viewer to pause and ponder the mysteries of existence.
For those who understand the profound interplay between time and image, each photograph becomes a cherished relic, a window into the soul of humanity. And in the quiet contemplation of these captured moments, we find solace in the enduring embrace of timelessness.
Who am I? An artist, an icon painter, a jeweler, a photographer, a contemplator of beauty or a co-creator to the Creator?
As a child, my father took me with him to the development room with a dim red light, and I watched the mystery when the invisible became apparent and turned into a story. This extraordinary transition has accompanied me all my life. When I learned oil painting, egg tempera or melted metal, the memory of analog photography appeared in me. On the day when I turned 50, the war began, and I was again, as in childhood, in a dark room. Tape. Development. Print. Native smell. A new story is born through the red light, giving hope and leading to peace and love.
Always with love to you, priest, eternal punk, Abbot Aurora.
