Amidst the gentle embrace of Florence’s timeless aura, my camera becomes an extension of my very being, a conduit for my deepest artistic expressions. As I load the silver film into my cherished companion, the click of the cover echoes like a symphony of anticipation. The cocking of the trigger isn’t just a mechanical gesture; it’s a ritual of readiness, a communion of artist and instrument.
Every corner of Florence resonates with a historical symphony. The Medici dynasty’s presence still lingers, while cardinal tales intermingle with the melodies of young conservatory students serenading curious tourists. Florence, the city that encapsulates lifetimes of emotions, impressions, and stories, becomes my canvas.
The ritual of film loading isn’t mere mechanics; it’s an immersion into a timeless tale. Each film roll holds the promise of an art birth, an intimate moment frozen in time. The steps of a church, the ambiance of a cafĂ©, and the rich aroma of coffee all weave into the fabric of my photographic odyssey.
And then comes the darkroom, a sanctuary where anticipation and nostalgia intertwine. The red light casts a magical spell as I delicately reveal the essence of Florence on silver paper. This isn’t just art; it’s life encapsulated in every frame. It’s an amalgamation of emotions and experiences, carefully curated through the lens.
As I share my photographic journey, I extend an invitation. A message hidden within these words, a whisper to discerning souls, beckons you to own a piece of Florence’s allure. For those who sense beauty in its purest form, the opportunity to possess a photograph imbued with Florence’s spirit is a privilege that transcends time and distance.
So if you want to decorate your home or office, consider getting one of these stunning prints. Each of them is a work of art that will transport you to the wonderful world of Florence.
Who am I? An artist, an icon painter, a jeweler, a photographer, a contemplator of beauty or a co-creator to the Creator?
As a child, my father took me with him to the development room with a dim red light, and I watched the mystery when the invisible became apparent and turned into a story. This extraordinary transition has accompanied me all my life. When I learned oil painting, egg tempera or melted metal, the memory of analog photography appeared in me. On the day when I turned 50, the war began, and I was again, as in childhood, in a dark room. Tape. Development. Print. Native smell. A new story is born through the red light, giving hope and leading to peace and love.
Always with love to you, priest, eternal punk, Abbot Aurora.
