Nestled within the embrace of time lies the enchanting city of Vienna, a symphony of history and inspiration that has woven itself into the very fabric of my existence. Through the years of traversing the globe, I found solace in Vienna’s quiet charm, its serene streets echoing with the whispers of a past that stands as a testament to the grandeur of ages gone by.
Vienna, with its majestic museums and architecture adorned in the patina of history, became not just a destination, but a wellspring of artistic vigor. Each corner reveals a canvas of stories, a palette of emotions, and an unspoken invitation to intertwine my creative essence with the city’s rich tapestry. A city that once graced my travel itinerary, today anchors my life, its rhythms shaping my artistic cadence.
The echoes of war may have altered the course of fate, but they couldn’t quell the magnetic allure of Vienna. This city, both muse and sanctuary, beckons me to capture its essence with the click of my shutter, to inscribe its soul onto silver film. In the hallowed silence of the Darkroom, as each image emerges on the canvas of photo paper, I am transported back to the very heart of Vienna.
Every photograph holds within it a secret, a whisper of Vienna stories, waiting to be unveiled. As I craft art, I peel back the layers of this captivating city, revealing its nuances to myself and to those who gaze upon my creations. With each image, I invite you, the viewer, to step into the heart of Vienna, to experience its history and charm, and to own a piece of its enchantment through my lens.
My dear reader, let these words and images be your key to an authentic experience of Vienna. Hidden within these lines is an invitation to own a piece of this timeless city, to claim a photograph that carries the very essence of Vienna magic, and to create a connection that transcends time and distance.
Each of them is a work of art that will transport you to the wonderful world of Vienna.
Who am I? An artist, an icon painter, a jeweler, a photographer, a contemplator of beauty or a co-creator to the Creator?
As a child, my father took me with him to the development room with a dim red light, and I watched the mystery when the invisible became apparent and turned into a story. This extraordinary transition has accompanied me all my life. When I learned oil painting, egg tempera or melted metal, the memory of analog photography appeared in me. On the day when I turned 50, the war began, and I was again, as in childhood, in a dark room. Tape. Development. Print. Native smell. A new story is born through the red light, giving hope and leading to peace and love.
Always with love to you, priest, eternal punk, Abbot Aurora.
