In the realm of art, love has long been a cherished theme—a muse that ignites passion in the hearts of both artists and admirers. Like a symphony that resonates through time, love finds its way into every corner of our lives. It envelops us in a tapestry of emotions, from the love we have for our loved ones, the beauty of nature, to the deep connection we share with our craft. Analog photography, with its timeless charm, offers a profound and poetic expression of this universal sentiment.
When I hold my analog camera, I feel an indescribable connection—a love affair that transcends the boundaries of time. With every click of the shutter, I capture a moment infused with love, freezing it in silver emulsion. Just as great artists have conveyed love through their art, I too confess my devotion through the lens.
The process of analog photography is a labor of love itself. In the darkroom, where shadows dance and images slowly emerge, I witness the enchantment of the silver film coming to life. Each print is carefully crafted, nurtured by my hands, imbued with a piece of my soul. It is a sacred ritual, an act of love that echoes the tradition of the great masters.
As viewers contemplate my photographs, they are invited to immerse themselves in the emotions that inspired each frame. The hidden language of love whispers softly through the images, inviting them to touch the intangible, to feel the love that once moved me.
In this world of pixels and instant gratification, analog photography remains an intimate dance with time. It preserves the essence of love, encapsulating the fleeting moments that speak volumes in their silence. So, as you immerse yourself in the art of analog photography, I invite you to embrace the love captured within each frame—a love that invites you to create your own story, your own connection.
Allow these photographs to enchant you, to remind you of the power and beauty of love. And if one of these images speaks to your heart, perhaps it is a sign—a whisper from the universe to bring this love into your own space, as a lasting reminder of the beauty that resides within our hearts.
For love knows no boundaries, and analog photography is the vessel through which love transcends time.
Who am I? An artist, an icon painter, a jeweler, a photographer, a contemplator of beauty or a co-creator to the Creator?
As a child, my father took me with him to the development room with a dim red light, and I watched the mystery when the invisible became apparent and turned into a story. This extraordinary transition has accompanied me all my life. When I learned oil painting, egg tempera or melted metal, the memory of analog photography appeared in me. On the day when I turned 50, the war began, and I was again, as in childhood, in a dark room. Tape. Development. Print. Native smell. A new story is born through the red light, giving hope and leading to peace and love.
Always with love to you, priest, eternal punk, Abbot Aurora.
