When your back is wet from the salt drops and you feel the new film roll under your fingers, you cover it with your hands like a bird’s wings, protecting the camera from the salt spray. When waves, water, wind, everything seems to detach from reality and plunges into the world of inner peace. In the world of contemplation of the Creator. In the world of peace. Where I can find myself.
Analog photography and the ocean are a wonderful union. Handcrafting gives each image a unique character, creating a sense of nostalgia that transports the viewer to another time.
The ocean is a subject that has fascinated artists for centuries. Endless expanses of water, crashing waves, play of light and shadows create a dynamic landscape that is constantly changing, photographing it is a pleasure.
As an analog photographer, I have the opportunity to shoot more in both classic and modern styles. Using film, I will create timeless and contemporary images that showcase the unstoppable power and beauty of the sea.
So if you want to contemplate beautiful images of the ocean that stand the test of time, my art is for you. Let me help you create a photograph that will be preserved for generations to come
Who am I? An artist, an icon painter, a jeweler, a photographer, a contemplator of beauty or a co-creator to the Creator?
As a child, my father took me with him to the development room with a dim red light, and I watched the mystery when the invisible became apparent and turned into a story. This extraordinary transition has accompanied me all my life. When I learned oil painting, egg tempera or melted metal, the memory of analog photography appeared in me. On the day when I turned 50, the war began, and I was again, as in childhood, in a dark room. Tape. Development. Print. Native smell. A new story is born through the red light, giving hope and leading to peace and love.
Always with love to you, priest, eternal punk, Abbot Aurora.
